NuFountain is built on a simple idea: skincare is most effective when it is fresh. Here is how your order is made, how it reaches you, and how to keep it at peak potency.
Why we make everything to order
Most serums are mass-produced and then sit in warehouses and on shelves for months, with active ingredients degrading the entire time. We do the opposite. Each formula is compounded by hand in small batches only after you order, so the actives are at their strongest the day they ship. This is especially critical for pure L-Ascorbic Acid, the gold-standard form of Vitamin C, which begins losing potency from the moment it is mixed.
How your order ships
After you place your order, we compound your formula fresh and dispatch it within 1 to 2 business days. You will receive tracking as soon as it ships.
Enjoy free shipping on orders over $60. Every serum is packaged in a UV-protective amber glass bottle that shields light-sensitive actives both in transit and on your shelf.
We currently ship within the United States only. Because our formulas are liquids, current shipping regulations prevent us from shipping internationally.
Returns and satisfaction
Because every formula is made fresh to order, we cannot accept returns of opened product for safety and hygiene reasons, and you never need to ship a used bottle back to us. We still stand behind every batch:
- Damaged, defective, or incorrect orders are replaced or refunded in full. Contact us within 30 days with a photo.
- Not satisfied? Reach out within 30 days of delivery and we will make it right with a one-time replacement or store credit. Keep the original, no return needed.
- A reaction or sensitivity? Stop use and contact us. We will help you find a gentler option and offer a replacement or store credit.
How to store your serums
To keep your formula at its best:
- Keep it cool and dark. Store away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. A cabinet away from the shower, or the refrigerator, is ideal.
- Refrigeration is recommended, not required. Cool temperatures meaningfully slow oxidation, especially for L-Ascorbic Acid serums. It is optional, but it extends active life.
- Cap it tightly. Air is the enemy of fresh actives. Close the bottle fully after every use.
- Use the dropper cleanly. Avoid touching the dropper to your skin to keep the formula uncontaminated.
Understanding shelf life and PAO
Because our formulas skip the heavy synthetic stabilizers that give mass-market products multi-year shelf lives, they carry a shorter Period After Opening (PAO). A short PAO is the natural signature of clean, freshly compounded skincare. For best results, use your serum within the window noted on the product, and order fresh when you run low rather than stockpiling.
What is normal, and what is not
Pure Vitamin C naturally shifts over time. A faint move toward pale gold is normal oxidation and does not make the product unsafe, though potency gradually declines. A deep orange or brown color means the active has largely oxidized and it is time to replace the bottle. Storing cool and capped keeps your serum clear and potent for as long as possible.
